Came with dvi, power cord, usb and HD connector all plugged in as expected except for power cord which did not plug in snugly. But all works.
You get 2 sets of drivers for the 19m, touchpanel for the pen and keystroke for the hotkey buttons. Initially none of them worked and thought I had a dead machine but after several installs and uninstalls the pen worked as intented with pressure sensitivity in Painter 11 and Photoshop CS5.
Did not work well with Manga studios EX4 ( would make marks on the page 5 inch away from pen placement). Uninstalled/reinstalled drivers and restarted PC, pen works now for all programs with no pressure sensitivity. (ну, это, наверное, общая проблема всех планшетов, и с вакомом такое частенько бывает)
Pen is light weight and comes with a usb charger that would act as a pen holder (в ручке аккумулятор что ли? О_О потому что технология не Wacom, об этом отдельно и совершенно специально
не сказано =). Eraser on back end does not work in any program that i have tried. (тоже, наверное, общий глюк планшетный)
Pressure sensitivity does not seem as accurate as Cintiq 21 (а вот это уже хорошее субъектвное сравнение) and feels more like a 12 WX.
Problem is the machine does not come with its own calibration and must be played with in the application that you are using.
Screen is super smooth and a little harder to control, not liking that much at all. (а мне нравятся скользские гладкие планшетцы... :( )
As a comic book inker I wanted more precision from the device which seems to be lacking to be used in a professional manner.
Overall im giving it C rating mainly because of the low cost compared to the Wacom products.
It seems very buggy and after a week of emailing the seller ive still not received any more drivers, something that they promised. Did not see much lag on strokes but pen pressure was very inconsistent and would act like I had pulled off the monitor if I was attempting to complete light strokes. But I couldn't get it to do heavy blobs with very heavy pressure either. Doesn't feel like 2048 levels of pressure, more like 1024 or a smidgen higher.
Resolution hurts as well and again between the 12wx and 21ux in capabilities.
Because of the inconsistency with applications, lack of its own calibration software, farmers market style of customer service, no manuals at all not even Chinese ones, and lack of precision I have to rate this one as a fail for professional means if you have to money for a Wacom. If you really want a draw on monitor for a good price then you can take on this one.
I actually am thinking of selling it for $1100 shipping included for the US, you cover the cost on overseas shipping. Let me know at
[email protected].
Wish it was better for what I want to do but just wont hack it. I think for me personally the resolution and inaccurate pen pressure is a huge minus since I need those the most. I have not tried painting with it but im betting it would be better for that and not comic inking.
