The shied of Nader Shah (reign 1736-1747) that he carried into battle during his invasion of India. The shield is supposedly made of rhinoceros hide, and is covered with spinels, emeralds, diamonds, and rubies. Now housed at the Treasury of National Jewels in Iran.
